About the Author Steven Heller is the co-chair of the School of Visual Arts MFA Design / Designer as Author + Entrepreneur Program. He is the author, coauthor, and editor of over 170 books on design, social satire, and visual culture. He is the recipient of the 2011 Smithsonian National Design Award for "Design Mind." Lovely browsing material, but I kept wishing for references as to where these samples came from. I know they've been selected from original materials, and maybe they've chosen one interesting piece from an otherwise uninteresting pamphlet or book, etc. But I still wish I knew what those sources were, where they were published, and when.
